November, 2021 - 65 year old male with several years of buttock, thigh and leg pain at rest with numbness and tingling. He had a long term smoking history and prior abdominal angiogram for which extensive bypass surgery was recommended. He sought a second opinion and above are before and after images from endovascular aortoiliac artery repair at Pulse Vascular, now with restoration of blood flow.
November, 2021 - 65 year old male with long history of smoking and worsening left leg pain at rest. Before and after images from a left leg angiogram and left iliac artery occlusion repair via a tiny pin hole in the right groin. The patient was spared an extensive open surgical bypass procedure with a near painless same day outpatient procedure eliminating the need for general anesthesia and long term recovery. The patient is now pain free.
October, 2021 - Dr. Scott Hollander and the Pulse Vascular Team are dedicated to helping patients avoid amputation and surgery. Patients with non-healing wounds have a high risk of amputation. With the help of a minimally invasive procedure, blood flow is restored to the limb, and the wound begins to heal.
A month after revascularization at Pulse Vascular, this patient’s leg is healing and the limb has been saved.
September, 2021 - 62 year old male with history of smoking and diabetes presents with 2 year history of right leg pain at rest, painful limp and recurrent right foot callus for which he seeks frequent treatment.
His screening examination demonstrated abnormal ABI (ankle brachial index) of 0.6 (normal is 1). Diagnostic ultrasound demonstrated an obstructed right popliteal artery. Before and after images above from angiogram. Pain has since resolved.
August, 2021 -73 year old female with severe right leg rest pain with discolored foot compatible with ischemic rest pain. Saw her vascular surgeon who said there was nothing more that could be done. She was told bypass may or may not work and amputation was impending. Within 45 minutes all blood flow was reestablished to her foot with color returning and pain resolving.
June, 2021 - 60 year old female with history of hypertension and diabetes with complaints of right leg pain at rest. She states her pain causes her to walk with a limp from the pain and she is often woken up at night with leg pain multiple times per week. She was referred to Pulse Vascular by a family member. She has seen several other doctors previously for her complaints without resolution. Before and after images demonstrate a popliteal artery occlusion that was able to be opened without surgery, hospitalization or pain. She is now pain free.
July, 2021 - 65 year old male with chronic kidney disease and left leg pain at rest. Before and images during left femoral artery occlusion repair. The patient’s left leg is now pain free.
July, 2021 - 65 year old female with chronic right heel pain at rest, more than 2 years. Before and after images from chronic total right posterior tibial artery occlusion repair. Via a tiny pinhole in the left groin, the right lower leg artery was opened curing her pain, avoiding unnecessary hospitalization as the procedure was performed in the comfort of a same day outpatient vascular center.
The patient walked out two hours after her procedure.
August, 2021 - 71 year old male with chronic left leg rest pain, awakening him from sleep several nights per week. He has superficial lower leg skin ulcerations that won’t resolve. He has a history of cardiac stents and shortness of breath. In the comfort of an outpatient facility without general anesthesia, via a tiny pinhole - his left popliteal artery blockage was opened and his leg pain resolved same day.
December 14, 2020 - 72 year old female with end stage kidney disease with an inability to have her normal dialysis treatment and complaints of clotting and right arm swelling and pain. She was sent to a local vascular doctor who sent her home with the image on the right. She had a total central venous occlusion(blockage). She left Pulse with an opened venous drainage to the chest and is back on dialysis.
A CVO (central venous occlusion) is when there is an obstruction of blood from in the central veins that drain into the right heart.
Symptoms may include but not limited to: head, neck and/or arm swelling on the affected side. Arm pain. Clotting in the dialysis access.
This procedure is performed in the outpatient setting with short recovery time.

December 3, 2020 - Diabetes typically affects the three small arteries below the knee (tibial arteries) causing narrowing and ultimately blockages.
This patient is a 65 year old diabetic female with left great toe open wound with exposed bone. Angiogram before and after demonstrated left anterior tibial artery occlusion which was subsequently opened restoring in line flow to the foot promoting rapid wound healing.
November 19, 2020 - Diabetes affects 25% of the VA’s population according to the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Dr. Scott Hollander and the team at Pulse Vascular are committed to helping Veterans and Diabetics.
Diabetes is a leading risk factor in Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). These photos are of an 87 year old diabetic veteran who had been suffering from severe leg pain and non-healing wounds. He had received bypass surgery three years ago. After scheduling a consultation with Pulse Vascular, Dr. Scott Hollander was able to open a 100% calcified occlusion in the femoral artery with a minimally invasive out-patient procedure.
September 19, 2020 - Dr. Scott Hollander and the Pulse Vascular Team work to ensure their patients receive the best treatment they need. At Pulse we routinely help patients that hospital-based physicians cannot help due to inadequate expertise, lack of endovascular experience and limited skillsets.
Dr. Hollander is the first outpatient physician in New Jersey to use the innovative Baylis Radiofrequency device to open total central vein occlusions, relieving head and neck swelling, salvage failing dialysis accesses and increasing patient lifespan and quality of life. This patient was recently released from the hospital with stroke and was deteriorating rapidly to severely limited venous draining back to the heart.

July 15th, 2020 - End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) patient on hemodialysis evaluated for right arm swelling and deteriorating dialysis access function. Pre and post procedure images provided. Post intervention right arm swelling completely resolved and dialysis function returned to normal.
July 3rd, 2020 - 52 year old diabetic male on dialysis with acute of chronic (10/10) right leg pain at rest with discolored limb. Pre and post images from an abrupt right popliteal artery occlusion revascularization.
